Invisible item to block snow that follows the season marker?
« on: November 23, 2017, 08:08:11 PM »
Now that I finally managed to make Christmas market stands that disappear in the other seasons, I have a stupid other problem wiht those Christmas stands. The hotdog stand roofs I used for them don't block snow.. so all them merchandise is covered in snow.. Is there any way to remove the snow, without blocking the Sims ability to buy stuff and without having leftovers in other seasons?
 :crying: :crying2:

I'm sorry, I don't know of any...

[ETA] Actually, if you lift up carpets they should block at least some amount of snow. It will still have the thin white layer below but at least not heaps of snow.

I tried a carpet on a one more slot.. that did not work. Any other ways to lift carpets?

i think I will just build the walls and the roof and delete them at the end of the season.. then build them again next time.. My seasons change very slowly so i will probably manage.. i still think it is stupid that EA did not include walls in the objects the season marker can change

You could use the giraffe thing to lift the rug. I forget the name of it

Yes, that's the decorator's best friend here: http://virtualartisan.blogspot.de/2013/01/decorators-best-friend.html
I cannot live without it anymore :)
Alternatively you can use the NRAAS Debug Enabler, this one offers to move objects up and down (the DBF can move in all directions).

The only seasonproof way of building to my knowledge is to build closed structures - arches are fine, but yes, they would show in each season.

Or you build 4 lots and replace them each season? Might be easier.

I don't know if Sandy might know this one as she has a few produce stands.
